Also, we were happy to celebrate Jason's 1st anniversary as a Catholic! A dear friend offered to watch Ted, so we actually had an Easter vigil date night. Not many people's idea of a great date, but it absolutely was to me! My husband is one of those new Catholics that I am in awe of. ;-)
Reading: Nothing...seriously. You would never know that I am an educator by my lack of discipline in reading. I'm not even going to pretend I am still reading Love and Respect because it's Just. Not. Happening.
Listening To: I love, love, love Easter music. Christ is Risen is probably my favorite.
Watching (wanting to): Trial of Labor. I am trying to track down this documentary that follows 4 women attempting a VBAC. Anyone know where I can find it?!
Thankful for: So many things...but this week I am focusing on this little man who is almost one! I cannot believe it's been a year since we were here. It's been amazing to say the least. I love watching him grow and learn so much every day. I know babies are happy, but I never knew they were this happy! His laugh...his smile...his silliness...melts my heart all day long!
One year ago! Jason joining the Church! Happy Anniversary babe!
Ted "reading"
Early birthday present from his Godparents!
Easter Toms :)
Learning about Easter from his cousin
Happy Easter!

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to visit your blog...clicking over from the CWBN on FB.
Your son is simply adorable. Love these pics! As well as your idea of a perfect date night at the vigil...how wonderful is that?! Good for you!
I did not get to put together a Currently;/day-book post this week,. but I love visiting others' posts!
Thanks for a glimpse into your week!
How lovely to celebrate one year of new life in such different ways:) I gave my kids shoes for Easter, too. I love knowing I'm not the only mom stuffing Easter baskets with boring practicalities!;)
ReplyDeleteLove that Matt Maher song! He and his family were actually sitting behind us in the family room at Mass on Easter Sunday - too funny! (We live in Nashville, but hadn't seen him at our parish before.)
ReplyDeleteI feel ya on the reading thing! I definitely do not have time to read nearly as much as I'd like. Thankful that my Kindle has a text-to-speech feature so I can listen on my commute home from work!
Such a beautiful family. Congratulations on your husbands 1yr anniversary. I to enjoy the vigil. I thank God for my baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, but I wish I could get a re-do as an adult that now loves and understands her faith so much more.
ReplyDeleteLove your perspective on the vigil mass and couldn't agree more. It's a special sort of grace in the church during the most holiest of services! Happy anniversary to Jason and soon to be happy birthday to your sweet Ted! Can't wait to celebrate :)
